Meet the Founders

Rubin Isak and Lev Kimyagarov set out on a journey to create something unique in the commercial brokerage realm – and did just that. Serving as the Managing Principals and Co-Founders of development site advisors®, Rubin and Lev identified a unique niche in the commercial real estate brokerage industry. Their exclusive focus on development sites and conversion opportunities in the five boroughs fills a critical gap, offering clients unparalleled expertise. With involvement in the sale of over $1bn and projects of varying sizes and complexities, they have represented clientele including private landowners, institutional and not-for-profit entities such as religious organizations, schools, and supportive housing developers. As an established team of in-house architects, zoning experts, analysts, and agents, DSA provides top-tier service in the development site and air rights sector, dedicated to helping clients unlock the full potential of their properties.

Managing Principal, Co-Founder

Rubin is a distinguished real estate professional with a focus on the borough of Queens, NY, successfully facilitating the sale of over 100 properties. His exceptional achievements have garnered recognition as a Powerbroker from Costar. Prior to co-founding DSA, he held key positions, serving as Senior Director at Eastern Consolidated, Cushman & Wakefield, and Massey Knakal Realty Services, as well as Founding Partner of the investment sales firm Goldenwood Property Advisors Group. He holds a BBA degree in International Marketing from Baruch College. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and currently residing in Tenafly, New Jersey with his wife, daughter, and son, Rubin’s deep roots in the diverse areas of New York contribute to his comprehensive understanding of the local real estate landscape.

Lev is a seasoned real estate professional with a focus on Upper Manhattan and the Bronx, playing a pivotal role in the sale of over 100 properties. Before co-founding DSA, he was a Senior Director at Eastern Consolidated, Cushman & Wakefield, and Massey Knakal Realty Services, earning recognition for his outstanding performance in these roles. He graduated from CUNY’s York College and has also earned the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is fluent in Russian, a soccer player, and a Judo expert. Lev actively engages with charitable organizations such as the Museum of Jewish Heritage and Ezer Mizion, embodying a well-rounded professional with a passion for both real estate and community impact.

Michael grew up in Long Island, New York and went on to study politics, economics, and law at SUNY Old Westbury. His interest in real estate began in his early career, selling and appraising houses in Long Island. He later transitioned from residential to commercial real estate when he joined American Investment Properties, contributing to transactions exceeding $30 million. In August 2018, he joined DSA as a Director, specializing in his Neighborhood Focused Area™ of Upper Manhattan. Michael brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as a Development Site Advisor.

Alex is an experienced broker with a proven track record in the commercial real estate industry. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College. Before joining DSA, he held positions as a Director at Eastern Consolidated and Goldenwood Property Advisors Group, as well as founder of Alex Isak Realty Services, where he focused primarily on investment property sales. He is dedicated to leveraging his expertise to provide unmatched service, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction for his clients. Alex specializes in his Neighborhood Focused Area™ of Central Queens.

Gill, originally from Belle Harbor, Queens, began his career in real estate finance, later transitioning to structured finance, focusing on the capital stack for developments across all asset classes. Gill has honed his ability to manage risk effectively while identifying the highest and best use of properties. As a native New Yorker, Gill possesses deep-rooted knowledge of NYC markets and finds excitement in the challenge of identifying opportunities within the complexity of zoning, which he brings to his Neighborhood Focused Area™ of Midtown West. Outside of work, Gill enjoys activities such as golf, surfing, and hiking.

Jack grew up in New Jersey and completed his education at USC, graduating with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. Over the years, he has demonstrated success in various sales-oriented roles before co-founding Jack Props LLC, where he spearheaded key initiatives within the wholesale real estate sector. With a strong foundation in sales and real estate, Jack is committed to meticulous data management and strategic communication within his Neighborhood Focused Area™ of Brooklyn South.

Ilana has always had a passion for collaboration and empowering others as well as fostering a positive work environment. Graduating from Tulane University in an accelerated 3.5 years, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, double majoring in Sociology and Communications, with a minor in Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship. She brings a wealth of experience including project management, business development, and recruiting expertise with a proven track record in identifying and supporting top talent across various industries. Ilana is dedicated to the growth and success of DSA as the Human Resources and Recruiting Associate.

Andrew was born and raised in Indonesia where he developed an interest in architecture and real estate development. Arriving in New York as an aspiring developer-architect, he pursued his passion studying at Pratt Institute, where he earned a degree in Architecture and Sustainability. He further honed his skills with a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Serving as an Associate at DSA, Andrew’s expertise in architecture, real estate, and zoning analysis adds significant value to our clients’ needs, making him an integral part of our team.

Panithi is an Associate at DSA, bringing a wealth of expertise in zoning, master planning, architecture, and real estate. His multidisciplinary background in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design has positioned him as a key contributor to various real estate development teams, spanning residential, commercial, mixed-use complexes, hospitality, resorts, and master planning projects. He has provided his design expertise to award-winning projects in Southeast Asia and has worked as a designer in Beijing, Bangkok, and New York, offering valuable insights to our clients. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Pratt Institute School of Architecture. Panithi’s diverse skill set and international experience make him an asset to the DSA team.

His enduring appreciation for land and real estate motivated him to pursue internships at esteemed firms such as Cushman & Wakefield and Eastern Consolidated. As an Associate at DSA, Jonathan’s dedication to his craft and passion for the industry enriches our collective expertise in the dynamic field of real estate.

Zachary grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and pursued his education at Syracuse University, where he earned a degree in Marketing Management. He gained valuable experience through internships at a property management company and a title company before joining Marcus & Millichap's New York Multi Family Team as a Sales Analyst focusing on Brooklyn. In his role, he provided essential support to over a dozen brokers, contributing to operations, research, marketing, and database management. He takes great pride in the quality of his work and values the relationships he builds with his colleagues and clients. Zachary brings his focus on the Brooklyn territory at Development Site Advisors®.
